Immigration violation PLEASE HELP ME
I traveled to the US over 5 years ago on a visitors visa. I naturally
overstayed and_ became an illegal alien. They told me that if I left
the US I would not be able to return. I just went through a divorce
with a US citizen and left back home with our child without telling
him and received a 10 year ban from the US. I was then put through
Hague Convention proceedings and ordered to return to the US on a
significant public benefit parole visa for only 90 days to attend a custody
hearing._ I lost custody of my child and did not return when my 90
days was up becasue I did not want to leave my child. Is there
anything that I can do now to stay in the US?

It would be in your best interests to seek the help and advice of an immigration lawyer.
Shop around. Check his/her reputation first, get some feedback and information on them before you commit.
Good luck

I don't want to sound presumtious or holier than thou, but I'd say you're ****ed.

Which state does your former spouse and child live in?
From the information you have provided, you are in a very weak position so you should get advice from a competent immigration and family law attorney (one of each if necessary).
Have you posted on any of the US immigration forums? If not, it's probably worth posting on one of them (you decide which forum is most appropriate). I'll warn you that you might get responses you don't want to hear.
It's not entirely clear from your post what you intend to achieve.
1) Gain custody of the child and take him/her to the UK legally?
2) Gain custody of the child and for you to remain in the US?
3) Against all odds overturn your ban and live legally in the US so you can see your child?
I'd like to point out that I'm not an attorney, nor formally legally trained.

Go to http://www.aila.org/contentViewer.aspx?bc=16 and click on for a lawyer referral. I think your problems are beyond the sort of help you can get here.

Have you noticed the points now? Av's still have 2 games in hand, and are only 1 point behind the Redwings. It's getting tight at the top. I wish it was playoff time now. Since my Donkeys are out of contention in the NFL, I've turned my attention 100% to the Av's. Let's hope for a 7 game series between our teams!

Back to the matter in hand.........
I had a chuckle at Flyergirl telling CMM to look for a lawyer with a good reputation,
it's gonna take more than a lawyer with a good reputation to figure out that mess.
