fwiw they were prompt and polite when I dealt with them yesterday. Shame they could not assist, but there ya go it cost me nothing I suppose

Not 100% sure on that, give them a call and find out. They are lawyers so my betting is yes.
If you work for a corporation who commonly deals with immigration issues you can sometimes get them to put you in touch with the lawyer they use. Sometime you can get 5 -10 minutes of free time.
