Immigration info please, HELP !!
 

Please can anyone give me info on my desire to emmigrate to usa
I have a friend who lives there and my aim is to go and work there and meet an old friend and perhaps stay with her
any suggestions would be most welcome.

Unfortunately, you will need more than that. The US immigration laws are fairly
strict regarding who will be allowed to come, and who won't.

Generally, you will either have to have a desirable skill (which usually means a
college degree), or you will need a close relative (such as a parent or child)
already in the US, and a lot of patience.

Even if you do qualify, be prepared for a very long wait. There are so many other
people trying to immigrate to the US right now that for some family-based categories,
the wait exceeds twenty years.

So in other words it's mighty difficult and i guess the only way really is marriage if at all possible or sincere enough
