Talking I'm Off To Blighty For A Visit!!!!

Hi All,

Leaving Chicago O'Hare on Sunday Evening for a visit to the Homeland, which includes a 3 day stay in Ireland on the way over.

Flying American to Dublin, renting a car and headed for SW Ireland, and then I will be flying to Liverpool via Ryanair. I will have six days with the family on Merseyside, before heading back on American Manchester - Chicago.

Can hardly wait!

Jim.

Have a good trip, Jim! I just got back a couple of weeks ago. The weather was shite in Essex, but apparently it's much nicer now. Figures... Have fun in Ireland, I'm jealous, never been there.

American Airlines are stingy too. I had to empty nearly half my suitcase last time but had to give up otherwise we would've had to leave most of our stuff at me mums. Had to pay 50 quid for being about 4 kilos over.

Virgin however, let me take an absolute boatload of stuff, including 2 suitcases and a set of pans I'd got as an engagement present. (Thanks feminist mum )

There are also hidden extras when booking with Ryanair online such as a "Credit Card Booking Fee" (2.50 Euro) and 1 Suitcase (4.50 Euro) :scared: . Total cost of flight (inc taxes) between Dublin and Liverpool was 52.00 Euro so it isn't too bad.

Dan Dooley beat all the other Rental Companies, by a long shot, for rental in Ireland.

I shall give a full report upon my return.......if I can remain sober enough to remember what I'm actually doing

I was in Dublin years ago and decided to go on a bus mystery tour, all 56 passengers had to put where they thought they were going in a big hat and the person who guessed right won a bottle of whiskey ...... The driver won
