Hi y'all
Well I finally made it to the USA. I started the DCF ball rolling on July 27 through the Sydney office, got married on Oct 6, had the interview on Oct 15, and arrived with stamped passport on Oct 22. The activities of Sep 11 didn't make anything harder, just longer queues. And when it came to customs and declaring any food or other goods (like my didge) the sheer mention of Vegemite was enough to get me waved through. Now we can settle down into our wonderful married life. For all those starting out on this adventure, take things patiently and all will be ok. Steve |
Congratulations Steve I bet you are over the moon!!!!!! Maybe when my turn comes I
will try the same thing cause I do plan to bring ample supplies of Vegemite :) > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > |
Hi, Steve,
My Steve has his interview at the Sydney Consulate tomorrow morning. We went the K-1 route because we didn't learn about DCF in time.. oh, well!! We'll be together soon in any case. Which point of entry did you select? My Steve will be coming through LAX, and I'm just curious if he can expect the same as you had. He won't be bringing Vegemite, however. But probably lots of Tim Tams!! Thanks for posting your experience. Those of us dealing with Sydney find it invaluable and a true comfort. And welcome to the United States!! Take care, Rae Steve wrote: > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > |

It took me one bite to become totally addicted.. we're making them our wedding
favors, and I wish we weren't and were keeping them all to ourselves!! What's your address? <wink> Betastar wrote: > > > [usenetquote2]> > But probably lots of Tim Tams!![/usenetquote2] > > > > |
Hi, Di,
Yes, I have, and they're my new favorites!! It's a good thing we're not moving back to Oz for a few years, or I'd weigh 200 pounds -- all due to Tim Tams... I think they put heroin in them, I really do!! TIM TAM UPDATE - My US Fiance got so addicted to Tim Tams he called Arnots when he
was in Australia about the chances of exporting them to the US. Apparently Pepperidge Farm are already looking into it so we may see them in the stores really soon. My Mum will be happy because it will save her a fortune in postage!!! Deb |
OH, BLESS THEM!!!!!!!! Thanks for that update, Deb!! - Rae
