Default I'm going home for xmas!

Booked my ticket today - get in! I got a return to Gatwick for £450, flying out on Sat 22nd and coming back on 30th (my birthday). Me and the missus will then stay in Chicago over new years before we both go back to work.

What am I looking forward to right now? Being COLD! I'm just going to walk everywhere in the cold as you cannot even walk to your car here without getting soaked in sweat. It's awful! It's always the little things.

So glad you're able to go home for the holidays! That sounds wonderful.

Hope you have a fab time.

Forget the cold weather in the UK...if you're spending the New Year in Chicago you'll certainly get to experience cold.

(BTW, even though us Brits are largely heathens, we still call it CHRISTMAS....... never 'The Holidays' )

I went home last year and was quite disappointed with how mild it was - 6am walking home from a mates house after a party, carrying my coat as it wasn't that cold at all. I'd better point out that that was the ONLY disappointing thing about the trip back.

Have a smashing time at Christmas - I think me and Mrs Titchski will be there too tbh, we've got tickets that MUST be used by February, so I reckon 2 weeks will be just fine!
