Does anyone know whether Ikea in the UK and Ikea here use the same bed sizes? I know everything in Ikea in the UK uses the European sizing, but do they here? I had a 180x200cm but I don't know whether they are the same in the US... any assistance will be greatly appreciated!

well I had already upsized my bed...it was a Super King LOL...I can't seem to find the comparison...

Their website has all the product dimensions. You can try searching on the US site and the UK site to compare sizes.

Just checked. Their (eg) Hermes Full Size (US) has the same product info and dimensions as the UK Ikea Double

Ikea UK king size is different and normal UK King size. Ikea US don't seem to sell King size beds (well the one in Palo Alto doesn't).

Ikea beds in the UK use 'IKEA' sizing not standard UK sizing as they measure in metric not imperial. It's sometimes confusing because they call it a Double, King, Superking; but these do not equate fully to UK traditional Double (4'6") King (5') and Superking (6'). To add to the confusion in the US they use the terms Full Size, King and Queen. Comparing products on the UK and US websites shows that Ikea UK and Ikea US are the same sizings.

I really do not get why there are so many threads on bed/mattress sizes. Just buy and bed and sleep in it.
