I hope its a better Ford then the last one?
We took delivery of 2006 Ford Explorer XLT V8 Six speed "Loaded" a few of days ago. Hope its better then the 2004, that turned into a stuffed pig.

PS. tried it in the snow, drove very well. Plenty of traction & control.

FIL just got stuffed on his chevie, has all the warranties and the like, but they bailed on a massive brake repair job that cost him $900...and he was planning on ditching the motor for a new one....think he changed his mind...but then, we got a letter for him, no idea why, but it's a cracking deal to get a replacement...
but that pick-up has been cursed, its taken out a utility poll because a canadian truck almost ran him off the road, a mack truck rolled in and nailed the front end, and a bear mauled the passenger side stealing his lunch, and a pair of mooses battered either side, one after he just got it back from repairs

Well I am on my 3rd Eddie Bauer Expedition and love it, also had a EB Explorer. Never had any problems with any of them. I try only to buy products that are made in the USA or UK. Do you remember the 'Buy British' slogan of the 70's?

I can't understand for the life of me why anyone would buy an SUV let alone a US SUV. Still different strokes for different folks.
