Default I-94 taken?

Hi guys, got a question. Was I supposed to hand in my I-94 when I went for my EAD appointment? One of the INS officers took it and when I got my EAD card, I asked if I needed to have my I-94 back and the officer who took my picture for the EAD looked at my card and said that I'm category c 9, therefore I wouldn't need it any longer. However, the AOS interview letter request that I bring the I-94 with me... Will they keep it in my record or I have to somehow try to get it back? Please help. Tks.

Whether it makes it to your file is doubtful but he's right, you don't need it so I
wouldn't worry about it. Hopefully you still have a copy of it somewhere - in any
case you must have submitted a copy with the I-485 application.

Andy.
