I have sent my I-130 petition for my spouse to Vermont and have received a confirmation receipt on june7th 2002 from vsc. If anyone can take a moment and can give me a timeline for how long will it take for them to approve the petition. Thanks

We sent ours last year in May with a receipt date of May 12th, I think. It was
approved on August 25th same year. 75 business days, very quick I think.

Thank you for the reply. Can you please also tell me how long did the overall process took from the time you applied and the time she got her visa. Thanks!

I think our attorney received the packet 3 during the first week of October, but we
had to file an I-212 waiver so we couldn't send my husband the pk 3 until the waiver
was approved. Vermont received that October 12th and we got an approval on January
3rd. Once my husband received his packet 3, he took it to the embassy in person to
get an appointment which he got a couple of weeks later, along with another packet of
documents and a list of the doctors for his medical.

Re: I-130 processing time for vermont
see my timeline below. VSC is DAMNED fast. My situation is filing the I-130 with the
AOS, I don't know if that is what you are doing or if you are doing DCF or a K3.
Also, we filed for my kids separately, their timeline so far has been similar:
06/11/02 (approx) mailed AOS, I-130, AP to VSC
06/12/02 1st NOA ("we received your petitions"...etc)
06/13/02 2nd NOA ("your petitions have been forwarded to Baltimore"...)
at this rate, I expect interview letters fairly soon. I am just bummed that for my
own petitions, VSC processed and sent me my AP, but for the kids, they cashed the
check and sent it to Baltimore with the rest of the package.
