I-130 interview/anniversary question
Hi everyone,
I have a question: For I-130 interviews, does it matter whether you've been married over a year at the time of the interview? It looks like ours will be scheduled right before/around our first anniversary and I'm wondering if I should delay it a few days so that we've been married over a year. Does it make any difference?
Thanks

Re: I-130 interview/anniversary question
1 year does not make a difference, but 2 years does. If you have been married less than 2 years, you will receive conditional permanent residence status (a 2 year green card). If you have been married more than 2 years, you will receive a 10 year green card.
Good luck
