Re: I-130 1st NOA?

Hi,

I am in a similar postion with the I-129F for K1 visa. My finacee mailed our petition to TEXAS on September 3rd also. It arrived on September 10th according to the Postal receipt.
We still have not had 1st NOA yet - and our check has not been cashed.

We did get through to the information line and spoke to a lady who was VERY UNHELPFUL!!!!!

All she said was that it was not on the system and just to keep waiting.......I asked if this was unusally long for the 1st NOA - she would not answer. Everyone else I have read about has had 1st NOA within 2-5 days of it arriving.....

CAN WE PLEASE HAVE SOME HELP AND ADVICE!!!!!
HOW DO WE GO ABOUT GETTING THEM TO ADMIT THEY MAY HAVE LOST IT!!!!!

Please help.....

Pete

was this for I-130 or I-129f? Are they different processing times?

Should we keep calling the number at TEXAS and hopefully speak to someone who can advise a little better?

is 20-25 days a long time to get 1st NOA from TEXAS at the moment?

I am just worried that they have lost our petition and it could put us months behind................

Any suggestions?

Pete.

Re: I-130 1st NOA?

FOR the I-130, after a little over 2 weeks I called and they said they was
sending me a receipt, which they did and it took almost another week to get
that. On the I-129F, it was about the same length or maybe closer to 3
weeks than 2 weeks. It never hurts to call them to ask what is going on.
It may be if you called them, they may tell you it is on the way. So my
suggestion would be if it will ease your mind, then do call...like I said,
it won't hurt anything and you will know....be prepared to redial a lot if
the line is busy and be persistent to get through.

They were VERY unhelpful so my fiancee is going to try and call again today to get some explanation as to why we have not had our 1st NOA yet - it's been about 25 days........

I read about a client of Matt Udall who was totally approved on I-129F at TEXAS in 17 DAYS at the beginning of September!!!!!

I am not so concerned about the apporval time - I just want to know that they have received it and are in process........

Does anyone have any suggestions..........if they have lost it they could at least admit it so that we could resend and not waste anymore time.................

some suggestions and advice please HELP!!!!!!

Yes that is the number I called....keep trying...the woman I got a hold of
was snotty but she did tell me though. INS people are not friendly ones!!!
They need to all go to school for manners. But some are very nice at the
national number though so maybe they went through this class. LOL!

Re: I-130 1st NOA?

Be glad you can call the SC. Do not live in Tennessee. INS does not accept calls & does not respond to formal requests.
I finally went to Memphis. Allowed them to be rude & abusive.
Eventually was allowed to talk with someone of implied authority. This morning I found out she lied and my wifes records have been misplaced for 10 months. Good Luck
