Hows the painting & decorating business in los angeles
 
This is a post on behalf of a computer ilitrate friend. He has all the paperwork.

Is the decorating business up, down or sideways.

He says the UK its quite good as people are choosing to stay in the current homes longer or not able to sell.

In answer to the OP's question, I think it's probably about the same as in the UK, as in people improving their homes instead of selling. But, on the other hand, most people I know will paint/decorate their own homes rather than pay a proffessional.

Remember he only received about two channels... there probably weren't many alternatives.

No, that was back when we lived in the city and had a basic cable package and all the networks. However, finding myself watching that show was definately one of the factors that, left to fester in my mind, led to our eventual descision to rid ourselves of the machine.:D

Well if he has all the paperwork and the correct visa's at least his employment options are open.

Judging by all the offers (like 75%+ off) and decorating businesses going out of business I would say that it's pretty crappy right now. If he owned a paint shop then maybe not so much since it seems more people are ready to do the work themselves rather than hire somebody like they may have in the past.
