Howdy y'all
Hello all,
I have recently celebrated my six month anniversary in Texas! I must say it's hard getting my head round Christmas when we were out with shorts on earlier this week!! It's like the Twilight Zone
My significant other introduced me to this site and I only wish that I had found it back in the early days when I was lonely and longing for home. No major regrets other than missing family. We're pretty settled in Texas - moved with hubby's job and I am now a stay home mom so I'm enjoying my four year old and am looking forward to the arrival of number two in July next year! Although I think Billy Bob won't go down too well if we move back! Lol.
Home is East Kilbride, born and raised. So far I'm enjoying my US experience but I know it's still early days.
I've enjoyed reading the posts on here and am looking forward to getting to know some people.
Merry Christmas y'all!!

Good job Jerseygirl, you've got me sussed, My significant other is the shop lifting Texas Ranger. As his sense of humour is soooo dry even I find it hard to tell when he's being funny and I have lived with him for 8 years!
I've enjoyed reading his thread and enjoyed all your comments!
Cheers!

Howdy again, thanks for the welcome. Re your question about perfecting the y'all, I'm quite sad and can launch into a number of different accents at the drop of a hat so y'all just rolls of my tongue. My hubby does however cringe somewhat when I am 'fixin' to start dinner or 'fixin' to go to the store!
My argument is when in Rome and all that!
I am a tad tired of being asked if I am Irish and one lady in Ashley's told me I speak pretty good English!! Go figure!!
Hope y'all have a great Christmas too
