I'll reiterate, just to make you feel a bit better

My list of states that I have been to and deposited bodily secretions in (as seems to be the criteria) - more specifically stayed overnight in but in all instances left the airport terminals:

Illinois (I live here)
Wisconsin (I live 10 minutes from here and have in-laws who live here)

In Canada I have eaten, slept and visited the bog in Alberta and I have eaten and been photographed (but didn't sleep or poo) in British Columbia

And that is it

(I've had airport connections in New Jersey, Ontario and Manitoba also)

You could at least drive to Indiana and Michigan within an hour at quiet times.

Then you could have been in another TIME ZONE man!

Ah, but I have been - in Canada I was in Mountain Time (Alberta) and Eastern (in the airport in Toronto but still had to reset my watch)

Haven't had occasion to go to either IN or MI yet, but I'll get to more states eventually!

Maine's not that bad in January. It's March you want to watch out for.

I've been to 32 states, drove through most of them.

Jan's pretty good as it is usually covered in snow...only time Maine gets a bit pants is middle/end of November when all the leaves have fallen off the trees and the snow hasn't built up yet...and then mud season when the snow melts and everything goes brown while waiting for the water to clear up.

Ok - I'm now sat in bed in Iowa having done a little post-dinner detour to Wisconsin! If the latter counts then I'm down to 8!

I've been to:

CA
UT
CO
MI
NY
NJ
GA
FL
TX
WI
IA
MD
OH
KY
TN
NM
IL
NC
SC
IN
DC (partial credit).

I've transited through MN.

Which I think is not bad going for less than 2 years in the US & A. Although some states were picked up on business trips before moving here.

San Juan
There is no state called "San Juan." There is a San Juan in Puerto Rico. There is San Juan, Texas. There is San Juan Capistrano down the Coast from yours truly. And there are the San Juan Islands up in Washington State [near the Juan De Fuca Straight -- Juan De Fuca was not a saint]. There is the San Juan National Forrest in Colorado.
