But I worked in Famous Barr and did temp work in Bergners and they were both walk in to the human resource and fill out the application form with the resume which I know was kept on file as I found all the applications for the job I got with the resumes still attached to them.
Lets not forget that alot of big department stores have independent companies working within their stores who will request the resume for thier head office.

Mailing a resume to a department store for a retail job would not be a good idea. Go the HR dept, and fill out the official application form. If they want a resume, then you can attach it. They don't have time to read all of those resumes, you can elaborate on your work experience on the application form. This is the Xmas season!!!
