how long to renew british passport via embassy in washington DC?

i sent off my form over night/passport on march 17th- it was rec'd on march 18th.

on march 27th, my credit card shows the embassy charging my card for the 265bucks fee.

how long should i expect to wait in total to recieve it back? i end of this week too early? looking to book a last minute triip to amsterdam for the weekend...=)

It took about 2 and 1/2 weeks to get my sons back from dc.

so yours should be on its way back to you.
