How does a UK resident open an American bank account?
Hello,
I want to sell ebooks through Mobipocket.com's parent company (Amazon) but, Amazon only accepts sellers who have an American bank account! (They're not very flexible!) How does a UK resident go about opening an American bank account?

I'm in the process of doing it at the moment with Chase, but thats because I'm moving over there and I was introduced by my company. You'll have to provide photo copies of every page of your passport, fill out forms etc etc...and you have to provide a good reason. I think you'll just have to call some banks and see what they say..I wouldnt rate your chances very highly though...
