Default How does living in Houston compare to Dallas?

Having lived for a couple years in Dallas, I woul like to know if there any benefits in moving closer to a coastal city like Houston. For exmple are there more parks? Less expensive water rates, milder summers, fewer freaky weather days in winter and spring; property prices, etc. Could anyone in the know of both share their opinion? Thank you.

Hi

I don't know both but I do know after 25 years on the Gulf Coast that there is no such thing as a mild summer!!!

Our winters are not so bad as Dallas area, but we really have no seasons here. It is warm humid and hot humid with a few coldish days thrown in during December/ January time.

No idea about difference in utility bills. You need to say how much you paid so wecan compare. As for Parks, yes there are plenty around either city, county or state.

Here is a cost comparison site which may give you some ideas of the differences between different US cities
