Used to know Wombwell, trained as a nurse in Barnsley and lived out there for over 15 years (well someone had too ) Currently going through the process so still living in damp west yorkshire.... yes it still has some people living there

I am a newbie on the site. I moved from UK to Texas in 2003 on a H4, and got permanent residency in 2006. My husband, dbj1000, posts quite a lot on this site, and I finally decided to stop lurking and sign up.
I was born and bred in Yorkshire ('how-do' is Yorkie-speak for 'hello'), but lived in London, Cambridge, Chichester, Hindhead and other places in the UK and abroad. Texas is definitely the most ... interesting ... place I've lived!
Love the heat (good job, considering), love the standard of living, and have made some great friends. Though I can't even repeat some of the things I've complained about over the years, so I won't :-)
Anyway, see y'all around the site sometime...

Can't blame 'em though, as I was unaware Texas had any cities other than Dallas...still am :-)

Yes it is a nice place to live Any time you want to chat about yorkshire just give me a bell. It amazed me when visiting Phoenix 2 years ago I was asked if I knew this blokes brother as he was a doctor in London, had to explained I lived about 4 hours away
