Houston meet up happening Wednesday 16th February
 

Hi everyone

The date has been set for the Houston Britishexpats meeting! Come along if you can - Wednesday 16th February at 2pm a the Black Lab pub: 4110 Montrose Boulevard, Houston 77006.

I am going to PM all the people I've seen on the most recent Houston threads.

Look forward to seeing all who can make it!

Are many people going? I PM'd saying I can't make it because I have to be back to pick the kids up from school at 3.30. But if anyone else is going to be there earlier (1-ish?), I may go along for a while and slope off around 2.30....

Unfortunately neither of us can manage the meet up on 16th feb. Have a great time and hopefully we'll get the chance to see you all sometime soon.

Ok everyone, most people have said they can't make it, or that the timing doesn't work for them, sooooooooooo I really am giving up! :banghead::banghead: I know everyone was keen, and that it would have been really nice to meet up but between jobs, babies, commitments etc, it seems it's not as easy as I had hoped :(

Just go out for a drink on your own. That's what I did for the San Francisco meet up...

How about trying :-

1) earlier in the day during the week say 12-2
2) Sunday any time - should be quiet because everyone else is in church!
3) friday/saturday night without kids
4) weekday night without kids
5) saturday lunch with/without kids

I can pretty much make any of those (with notice if babysitters required).

How does anyone else stack up?

Am I supposed to be reading this? If I am Sunday morning sounds good to me, but our on call schedules are hard to get around at any time;)

We would be up for most of those - 2 and 5 being easiest for us due to a world shortage of childsitters... Cheers, Doug.

Yep 2 or 5 would work better for us - good chance of hubby making it and don't have to worry about babysitters for my 12 year old 'baby' :wub:

Nice job YorkieAbroad :D I would fall in line with everyone else and say numbers 2 or 5 can be made to work for me too. Maybe you're onto something here!!!
