Hoover Dam

Drove from Las Vegas to Phoenix today, decided to chance it going over the Hoover Dam (last three times I've bypassed it due to traffic issues, because of heightened security checks). Traffic was not too bad, and well worth it to get a glimpse of the new bridge construction, as well as to take another look at an amazing engineering feat. We parked at the main parking lot and spent about an hour wandering around before resuming the journey.
The drive from the Dam to I-40 is pretty spectacular, too. |
