I have Hola set to uk and I can stream ITV/BBC live tv from my desktop to my tv with chromecast...but when I try to stream programs from the i player ITV or BBC it will not stream......will firestick solve this problem

You can stream the live tv presumably 'cos you are watching in a Chrome browser which you can send to your TV via Chromecast (or Google Home if that's what it is now called). When you try to cast the iPlayer it doesn't let you as it is not in a Chrome browser and it is DRM (Digital Rights Mgt) protected.

If you go the Firestick route, you would need to install a free VPN and download the BBC iPlayer app. I don't know about the itv Player as I haven't tried that one yet. :fingerscrossed:

Thanks ...I thought Hola has VPN ...sorry I am not a pro at this....if I need a free VPN can you give me a link....what do you mean download the BBC iPlayer app
