Welcome! You'll find an outlet here. L.A. can be reasonably cosmopolitan if you get out of the 'burbs. Thank your lucky stars you aren't stuck in the Midwest, anyway!

Join an expat French-Canadian club. If there isn't, one start one.
Do voluntary work.
