After seating comfortably in a restaurant and looking through the glass and enjoying the panoramic view and then came the homeless people walking by, one by one. Suddenly ,it inspired me to do some research and comparison on the opinions of internet users and others blah, blah.. Oh well, does curiosity counts? :D

Typical Mail story, playing to the gallery.

Are you suggesting that many/most homeless people choose to be homeless?

Looks like Los Angeles going by the simple total, but Detroit if you go by % of population:

Personally I've never been to either city, but two weeks ago the Mrs and I had a weekend in Boston and we were amazed how many homeless people were knocking about in the city centre - I haven't seen that many winos and panhandlers anywhere in a seriously long time.
