Highly skilled?!?

Does anyone have any advice / experience with regards to getting a visa coming the other way, i.e. US citizen coming to UK. The visa in question is the Highly Skilled Migrant one (points based). No questions in particular, just wondered if anyone else had gone down that route!

We know what it all involves and don't really need any professional advice (americanexpat.com being a portal for lots of 'guaranteed visa applications'). I just wondered if anyone had any past experiences that they could share.
Seems a hell of a lot easier for him to come this way than me to get out there! And a lot easier for him to stay in Britain for as long as he likes. Doesn't seem to be much logic there considering how much more densely populated the UK is!

Ooooops! Wrong URL. You are right, it is easier to go to the UK than try to come here for a spouse, so much so a britam couple i know just jacked in the K1 process and she has gone to live in the UK. They couldn't bear to be apart.
