High School Diploma/GED = ???

Looks like I need a GED - which I believe is a High School Diploma. Which I have no idea what the UK equivalent is.

Has anyone used GCSEs in their place? Can they be used in their place?

Grab a book, read it twice, go take the exam at a local community college.

Depends what you need it for.

GED isn't hard to get though, so if you don't have any further study than GCSE's, it's worth taking.
