I am the foreign fiancee. Is it okay to punch holes on my original documents/requirements, e.g. Birth Cert., Police Cert., etc... for submission to the consulate...? I would file everything in a folder....

No because you aren't going to be giving the US Consulate any original documents.

I, personally, won't do it to the copies either. They ask you to hand the documents to them one by one as they as for them in the order they are in on the checklist they sent you. Let them do the punching if they are going to be putting them on an ACCO clip.

A two-hole top punch is acceptable, into which you insert an acco fastener. Alvena

Another question... since i will be submitting copies only of our evidence of relationship, e.g. cards/letters etc.... to the consulate, do i need to attach an FC-029?

In Manila by the way, all original certifications are required to be submitted when dropping off paperworks.

It is probably not necessary to include the FC-029, however a simple statement with
the same wording would be nice, and signed. Alvena
