hi!
Morning all just joined ths site today been looking through the forum for a bit though!
I am in the process of studying for my NCLEX and reorganising my life to come over the states. I am looking for some info on how life is over there, is it easy to adjust. I have been offered a 3 year contract to work out in Rhode Island Hospital, does anyone have info about RI???
Thank you!!

Re: hi!
Hello and welcome to BE Are you from Glasgow?
Well it seems like a nice area to live RI as it is in the New England area, though I am afraid can't give you any info about it.
Don't know if anybody is from Rhode Island, but Cindyabs came from New England, memory not doing too well about who else is there.
There is a frapper map to show you where people are
http://www.frappr.com/beusa but hopefully some will read this, or will point you in the right direction

Re: hi!
well come to the site,
Good luck on the NCLEX from someone who finally passed it and now caught up in retrogression so patiently (NOT) waiting for a visa. Also check out the NCLEX forum on www.allnurses.com plenty of good info there

Check out http://www.city-data.com/ for a statistical breakdown of basically every city. You can also visit the forum on 'where should I move' that might have more 'on the ground' experience in RI than the British Expats site (though, of course, from a US point of view)

Hi, welcome to BE.
Where in Glasgow are you? I'm from East Kilbride.
It's a major culture shock adjusting but you'll get there in the end.

Welcome to BE
There was a thread about someone planning to head to RI as a nurse, so do a search as there was a fair bit of info on it
