Here Come the Penguins!

The long awaited (for me at least) documentary is out now! March of the Penguins. Probably coming to a cinema near you. It'll be nationwide on July 22nd.

Seems to be very popular and is doing very well in the box office.

I wish...

I'd be satisfied with a copy of the DVD when it comes out.

Best penguin story I have ever heard was of the RAF in the Falklands flying low over the birds. Penguins stood still, looking up as the planes go over, follwoing them with the heads till they toppled over.

my mate used to use that as a chat up line in scotland - that they had to go out and pick them all up again or something - seemed to work rather well......

This is a fable. It's an urban legend according to this site !

The RAF lads in general have inordinately good skills at pulling women. Then again, they are scamps and tearaways. :p

I've heard its quite sad in places, which will probably make me to upset to see it. Cant stand seeing animals dying. When I was younger I saw a documentary on Pelicans and this one bird couldnt fly when all the others did and was left behind....I cried buckets god it still brings a tear to my eye when I think about it. :(

Sorry, but it just read (to me, I might add) that you had first hand knowledge.
