Police are describing it as an accident and a plane crash has been ruled out.

It's at an old fuel depot and casualties are being described by ambulance services as minimal.

Hopefully they're not describing it in the same way they described the 7th July attacks as power failure for the first few hours!

Terrorism (and let's all pray not) or accident, our thoughts go to the people affected.

My brother's new house is about 2 miles from where the explosion was. He slept through the whole thing though, as he didn't get home until 5am, and was pissed out of his skull. Not much damage to his house, although he says it's like the middle of the night there. His ex girlfriend's flat suffered a lot worse he said (blown out windows, front door knocked off its hinges).

Amazing that only 43 people were injured, and no fatalities. Satellite pictures are pretty scary aren't they?! I would not like to be the person put in charge of sorting out the insurance claims for that one!
