Default Help, with taxes

Has anyone been in this situation. Friday I got our tax forms back from the preparer, Saturday I mailed them. I put my signature on them, but forgot that hubby needed to sign them as well but he was away on business. I enclosed the check for the amount owing. I have heard that the tax forms will be invalid, but I don't want to get in bother with the IRS in case it screws up our citizenship application. Any advice out there, please?

you should be fine, as they were originally filed before the cuttoff date. But don't quote me on that!
