hi ,i just wanted to know if anyone could help me. i am registared disabled and recive certain uk banifits for this, i know if i moved to the erou zone i could still claim them but does anyone know if i could still recive them in the united states of america . have tried the benifits website but it was no help .thank you

Hi Liz,

Welcome to BE. I've moved your thread to the USA forum.

To be honest I don't know the answer to your question, but would imagine if they are government paid benefits (not pension) then it would be paid based on your UK residency?

Also how are you planning on moving to the USA? Marriage/family based/temporary trip, etc?

You need to provide a little more info, that way if anyone has had experienced a similar thing they may be able to share that experience with you.

i had to get the child benefit stopped when i move dover and that was only £18 a week.
