Help! My British Girlfriend Needs Tax Help!
My British GF was telling me last night that she is hardly sleeping
She sold her flat 2 year ago that she was renting for about 10 years. She had CGT due to the USA but she had not paid it - she said she didn't know - go figure! Now she is really worried that the UK Tax will contact the USA Tax. She said her US contact info is all over the sale... Without giving too much away does anyone here have any advice on her situation. She is afraid to declare the CGT since she thinks that will create more problems. I went online and I could see that the UK shares tax info with the US but I do not know if that applies to property. |
