my girlfriend and i are planning on getting it all together soon, she lives in los angeles, and i live in the UK, and she is planning on coming to stay on a visitor visa for a short while so we can be together, and we are thinking of maybe marrying and returning to the US in few months.
basically i need information on what is the best way of going about staying together, and staying in the states.
can anyone help to tell me how to go about it, what all the visas we need are and all the other info that is relevant, as i know nothing about any of this
thank you in advance

You are going about it bass-ackwards. It would be more advisable for YOU to go visit
HER and then marry and file the AOS. See the tourist adjustment section on Doc
Steen's site for more info about this. If you marry in the Uk, you have a real chance
that you will not get into the US until she gets an approval on an I-130 filed via
the service center, and you could be languishing in London for 1 year or so, maybe
longer. You might get lucky and sustain entry as a tourist after the marriage, or you
might not. It is better to not take the chance if at all possible.
