Help! The DS.0156- non immigration visa application madness

Hello all

I am filling this form in (incase you didn't get the snappy post title its the
DS.0156 Non immigration visa application - part of the IV 15 pack) and just wondered
what other folk put down for the questions I can't answer yet, such as:

"When do you intend to arrive in the US" - current answer - God knows! That's
immigration's decision, surely!!

"How long do you intend to saty in the US" - what did folk put? Forever? Until he
gets sick of me and divorces me? What?

And the work question - "Do you intend to work in the US?" Well, of course I do, but
I haven't got a job yet because I haven't got a visa etc etc, viscious circle -
anyone know the 'right' answer there?

hope someone can help !

Many thanks

Gail

Something like 'within x weeks when K1 visa granted' (if that is what you're applying
for). This is a general-purpose form, the embassy officials will know that, and none
of these are trick questions. (They also do advise that you don't make travel
arrangements until you have the visa but many folks do of course, when they know the
interview date). If you have a flight date, put that.

Indefinitely. Or permanently. (I put 'indefinitely')

I said 'Yes when settled'. Again remember they are not trick questions, just put down
the truth.

Gail These are the answers I used and I had my interview in Montreal Apr 17 and now
have a shiny visa in my passport.
1. I knew I would be going this June so that is what I wrote.
2. Indefinitely..
3. Yes once I have received proper documentation Hope it helps. Bonnie

The form is a multi purpose form, so the questions might seem odd.
