can someone explain to me the greencard system?

hehe...aye, well stay at a uni related place otherwise you'll never get sponsorship...but you'll ideally need experience, and if your doing medicine you'll want to see how it stands in the UK...

As for the greencard system, check the articles on the site, in the US, the ways in at the bottom...it'll give you the gist.

Its really WWU Bellingham you need to talk to, not us.

There are various visa's you can come over on, but you won't be able to stay unless you either marry an American or have a company sponsor you to stay. Which isn't easy as it will cost them a lot of money to do and they will have to prove why they are employing you over a US citizen. Remember if you do come over on a visa and you overstay your alloted time, you will become illegal and if caught banned from entering the country for 10 years.

One thing at once, first find out if the Uni you want to go to accepts international student and what the criteria is to go. You may need to translate your UK qualifications into US ones.
Come over by all means, but don't think life over here is any better than life in the UK, it isn't it's just different.

thanks. i have been in touch with WWU and they accept international students with 3 or more A Levels. i'll only need to take a minor in american studies.

and i am not looking for a better life, just to experience different things...
