Hello again, everyone!

Just thought I'd fly by and say hello to all those who nursed me through my fun but traumatic adjustment into Chicago life all those years ago. Four years ago? Something like that.

Well, now we're moving onto Louisville, Kentucky! I've been warned of the toothless hillbillies. I'm not planning on trekking the hills anytime soon. There'll certainly be no Deliverance for me!

Will try and post more often... busy, busy, busy and all that. Hope everyone is doing well.

All the best, Keira.

From people who've never been there I presume.

I live here (there?) and I like it. But I have seen things that cannot be unseen.

I've lived in Kentucky for over 13 years, and I'm pretty sure that there aren't many (if any) toothless hillbillies in Louisville. Now, down the eastern edge of the state - where I live - there are plenty!

Greetings ABY! I may have been gone for a while (life, and all that) but I never forgot about ya!

I didn't know you were near L'ville. You;ll be able to fill me in on all the things I need to know but was afraid to ask.

I'm excited about the move. My hubbie has changed jobs, so that's why we're moving. We've found a great house in a good school district. Today the removal truck is loading up our Illinois life and bringing it on down Kentucky way!

Whereabouts are you? Not that I really know the area well yet, but I might have heard of it.

I'll keep checking the posts when I get chance. Might not have t'internet for a few days, though.

Meade county, 40 mi south of Louisville give or take a few. We've been up to the city a few times, but I'm no expert on the area. I know there's a museum of weaponry that's on my list. And there's a Bass Pro shop across the bridge in Indiana that I've been to. If you like outdoorsy stuff there's plenty of it around.

If you get the chance, I highly recommend the Underground Cavern tour. http://www.louisvillemegacavern.com/.

We took the tour last year and it is absolutely fascinating! :)

That sounds cool. I'm definitely going to check that out. No one mentioned it while doing the Louisville tour. Perhaps it's a secret, and only those in the know know... if you know what I mean.

Yeay MsElui! How are you? We moved roundabout the same time originally, didn't we? It wasn't us that bought an old property that took a while to close on... you must have me confuddled with some other scatterbrain... but you helped me no end before... it's great to hear from you again.
I just arrived in KY yesterday and am frantically trying to gather together immunization certifications, enrollment forms, birth certificates and contract of closing documents so that my daughter can get started at the new middle school. It's all fun and games.
I shall do my utmost to hang around on here more frequently this time. I'm now self-employed as a legal proofreader, so I spend all day every day on the flippin' 'puter - there's no excuses now.
Keep smiling.
