Default Health Insurance (immigrant visa)

Hello all,

I will be moving to California next month. Can anyone recommend a good health care provider and any opinions on the type of care to choose? . I have searched the internet and found some companies, but to be honest I am a bit confused about how it all works.

Many Thanks

Just to clarify, you're getting an Immigrant Visa based on marriage to a USC. It seems the USC has been living in the UK, so neither of you will have a job in the USA right away, with an employer who will cover health care. Is this correct?

Take a look in the BE Wiki...also try the search engine to search for past threads on this subject...there have been many.

The names of a couple of short term insurance companies have been posted. Sorry I can't remember the names off hand...but you should be able to find them in the old threads.
