New here, but in the same boat. $36K the insurance company decided not to pay.

Ray, if you don't mind me asking did it mess up your credit rating?

not mine ... the wifes ...it was her bill ...

but medical bill are treated differently it seems in our state ..
on the credit rating .... they seem to be ignored
