Harry Potter 3...
Saw this at the weekend... pretty good I thought, even though I'm not really a fan...

It's not bad. Went a little off plot in places, but it was a big book. Best things were, it was directed better and the acting was better and it just seemed more of a real film than the others.

There are a few changes from the book, but that is to be expected as an exact copy of the book would be almost unwatchable. It will be interesting to see how The Goblet Of Fire and The Order Of The Pheonix turn out, because they will have to cut quite a lot out of those books to get them into a 2 1/2 hour film.

I was rather reluctantly dragged along on Friday night and was surprised at how how much I enjoyed the film....very endearing.
Whereas the first two films were almost cartoonish, this one was a lot darker, with rounder characters that were more engaging. HP himself was a lot more vulnerable, Hermione as feisty as ever but not quite the annoying little brat she was in the others, and Ron's early teenage goofiness was a treat. Only disappointment was Emma Thompson, what a pain in the neck she was. |
Enjoyed it a lot more than 1 & 2. This was a more grown-up film.
Tyson v Hermione anyone ? |
