Oh no! OMG I love Pontrefract cakes. I also used to like liquorice tablets...never seen them outside of Sheffield...other than a little sweet shop in the Blue Mountains in Oz.

I've just been chatting with Geordie George in the Lounge...she's from Sheffield too...about food that's only available in Sheffield. Oh well...I have a bar of Cadbury's...its made by Hershey but it will have to do.

They are like a thick quarter and are much softer than liquorice tablets. I think the were called Wilkinson's Pontrefract Cakes. I love liquorice too.

and they look like they've been rolled in the bottom of the budgies cage when they were still wet.....yummy!
