Re: Happy Thanksgiving. Whats cooking??
working today, probably have a frozen lasagne tonight. Exciting eh?
But I have a rare weekend off, so will do a turkey with all the trimmings on Saturday as well as put up the Crimbo decorations
Well, that's the plan anyway, but I'm home alone with christmas music and the wine rack, so who knows how that will turn out

I am going to eat like a greedy bastard and watch the Detroit Lions lose.
So it's just like any other Sunday.

Welcome! Turkey and all the fixings today. Picked up from a local restaurant due to a complete lack of effort on my part. Turkey is in a bag ready for reheat looking a very fetching Bob Monkhouse orange. Oh dear.......what did I do.......

Re: Happy Thanksgiving. Whats cooking??
Since DH's just started his job this spring, we're saving his last paid day off for Xmas. Staying put and thanks to a check from Mom will have a meal out today. I refuse to pay 29-40 a head for a buffet though so will have to find some place cheap and cheerful.
Son just called this am for my frosted cauliflower recipe. They are hosting DIL's immediate and extended family there in Birmingham, AL. I thought he had been outvoted on the cauliflower, but he put his foot down that he wanted something "non Southern style,"

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
(PS Paul's had good day so far, as he saw Kylie on the TV this morning, she popped up on the Macy's Thanksgiving parade)

Eating out on TG and Xmas day is generally a pain - overpriced, pre-set menus, etc. We eat out all the time but tend to stay in TG/Xmas, OR - our latest discovery - go to Chinatown in SF where it's 'business as usual', or - this year for the first time - driving up to Vegas where - I hope - the restaurants are on a regular menu! If it's all Turkey I'll be mighty pissed!
