Happy Annivesary

I have been here 3 years today (6 December), here is the story so far

5 Things I have accepted

“I have genital Herpes” adverts on TV
Americans will not do anything that makes other peoples lives easier if it means inconveniencing themselves one iota (for example, using an indicator)
Anyone who introduces themselves as a Christian has low Christian values and morals
When Americans talk about “the world” they actually mean the rest of America (outside their town) and has no relevance to the actual world.
Awful television

5 Things I still can’t come to terms with

That a traffic light can be green for that long and so few cars get through
How tasteless the food is, no wonder Americans use so much Ketchup
How Fox News gets away with “fair and balanced”
Things said with conviction are accepted over actual truths (bill O’reilly anyone)
Country Music

5 things I have achieved

Bought 3 Houses
Foster and Adopted children
Got my Realtors license
Been on the TV series “One Tree Hill”
Messed with Texas

5 things I have failed to achieve

Getting a proper job
Staying on a Cruise ship for the whole cruise
A state of enlightenment
An erection without using Cialis
Visit Home, even for my brothers wedding

Congratulations Patrick! At least you've still got some things on your list to be getting on with for the next few years!!! How's that erection coming along then?!?! (Pun intended!)

I lost the thread, was that because of or despite being in the USA.

Jesus, you need to get the hell out of Texas/Oklahoma/Arkansas/wherever you are. Hell, I'm American and even I know better than to live there.

What a coincidence I've been here 18 years today, came here Pearl Harbor Day 1987 with $3000 in my pocket and no job. I spent half my money on a car and got a job within 3 weeks........................ 18 years later I have 2 cars and no job. A true American success story to inspire everyone :D
