Lots of work around the house (taking full advantage of day off) followed by very nice beers on the deck.

Anyone fancy coming round?

I'm running out...

Sorry son, but Thanksgiving is always the 4th Thursday in November.

We were in Newfoundland on Monday, Canada Day. We attended the ceremony at the Newfoundland War Memorial.. The band played God Save the Queen, O Canada & Ode to Newfoundland five times each. Brilliant! Then we had a tour of the HMCS Shawinigan that was visiting St. John's for the occasion.

I was living it up I Vegas on Canada Day...but hubby was in our condo in Toronto. He said the fireworks were the best he'd ever seen...and we've been in Disney World and NYC for Christmas and NY.

That's what you get for winning. You have stuff to do, while the defeated just lounge around and eat and drink.

I'm watching back episodes of Law and Order SVU and drinking my fave tipple...somehow I don't feel defeated. ;)

We went to the pet parade in downtown Bend. It's refreshingly free of the ra-ra USA stuff. There was this poor guy though.
