Halloween?

My only memories of Halloween in the UK are watching horror flicks on Channel 4. In my corner of England, Halloween was largely a non-event (probably because of Bonfire Night?). Of course, here it's a totally different story and I'm finally getting into it.
How about everyone else? Do you have plans for Halloween?

We'll go trick or treating round the neighbours. Mini Weeze is excited already.

Do you really mean that you're excited to dress up mini Weeze...! :p:rofl:
My wife would have bought 50 halloween costumes for mini Bink if I'd have let her!

Now he's one and running around and I can only see it getting worse year on year...

I also see a large inflatable black cat in our near future...

I'm a little nervous. Some help from the neighbors to prepare will be in order so we have a rough idea of what to expect - whether hordes of kids or a graveyard.

We do decorate the house and have the trick or treaters come round (people drive by the drove to our neighborhood for the kids to get their candy!) but we save our fireworks for November 5th just to confuse everyone :D

One family already has their decorations up (way too early in my book)!

Unfortunately mini Weeze is very definate in her ideas so I don't get to have fun picking what she can wear. She wants to be a fairy.

I thought you had a mini mini Weeze too?

My mini one just had a birthday, a Harry Potter themed party, with me as Snape ,so most of the stuff from the party will be getting re-purposed (with no adjustments needed).

She was Hemionie, and for Halloween, she will just be a witch.

We don't have little un's any longer, but they did dress up in black bin liners and witches hats in the UK. Our neighbourhood has a mix from tinies to teens and we usually get hordes of them come round at Hallowe'en in many weird and wonderful costumes.

I'm planning a Halloween display synchronized to music.

Here's some testing of my lights

No, but my Daughter will be.

I'll be dressed up as a pirate and playing this sequence:

Mini mini Weeze will probably be forced to match her sister. Her costume will certainly involve long sleeves and legs after the mossy bites I got last year!
I imagine I'll spend the whole time trying to wrestle the candy out of her hand. She took a massive bite of her big sisters cupcake frosting a few weeks ago. Rainbow frosting and a 5 month year old is not a happy combination.

My son has recently discovered cupcakes and icing!! Needless to say, I think a few of his outfits are never to be the same shade of white again (more of a green in our case!).

We will have candy at the house for trick or treaters and like I said, I think there will be a large inflatable black cat in the front yard! We live in a cul-de-sac and all our neighbours have relatively young families so it should be good fun. Ours is a little young for trick or treating but perhaps we'll have my wife's nephew over (5) and take mini Bink with us.
