Hallelujah!

Well, I have to say that large US corporations' HR departments are exceedingly slow-moving in my experience, but finally something is moving - a good start to 2008!

History: Spent a year with a medical device co. based in a US hospital. Left the company now, and the hospital were keen for me to come back in a nursing/device engineer capacity

On NYE finally got an email offering me the job - they eventually created a new job description for me, which has finally been approved, the salary and relocation package okayed etc.

Now...just need the LCA so I can make my E3 appointment and hoping to get back to Pittsburgh by March 1st.

Woohoo! Soon I'll be making posts asking about licenses, cars and credit cards!

Nice. I know somebody who works (maybe worked) in their HR department.

Thanks, people.

The HR department seems to have a revolving door - in dealing with them for 15 months, I have had to start again with 4 different people as the ones handling my case have moved to other hospitals within UPMC, or other departments. That's partly why this has taken so long!

The other problem has been that they were completely unaware of the E3 visa, so I've had to tell them what to do every step of the way.
