H1 to F1
Hi Friends,
I have a plan of going to school full time. I am presently on H1 visa. Once I get the admission (I-20) can I go to school or do I need to get F1 stamped?

Neither. You need to apply for a change of status. The best thing is to contact the
school and have them file it on your behalf; that way, they can double-check the form
and make sure it gets sent to the right address. You will still have to sign the form
yourself. The form you'd have to file is I-539.
