Default A guy in need of a little help

Hi Everyone,
I'll tell you a little bit about my position and if people think they can help it would be greatly appreciated.
I'm currently living in the UK, 23 years old, in my final year of university where I am studying BA (Hons) Community and Youth Studies. So basically I'm a qualified Youth Worker!!
I'm looking at the possibility of moving out to New York to work. I have worked there the last 2 summers on a J-1 visa, that possibility is there once again this summer, but I need a little help in finding something more permanent.
I have looked in a few places but need contacts/websites/help to enable me in finding work. I'm looking for Non Profit/Youth related jobs, but I'm ready for the challenge of anything else.

Obviously I'm going to be in New York state in the summer, so could interview etc. but realise the Visa process is alot longer than this. Also anyone who knows anything about Visas please advise me.

If you've got this far, thank you
Hope to hear from you soon

Your only hope on an employment-sponsored visa is to network like crazy when you get here. The chances are still slim, though.

J-1 is the obvous visa, but I would not have thought there would be many employers in your field willing to sponsor under a H, well not incur those costs anyway.

But you can only try.

But without much experience and straight out of uni, chances are slim to none.
