Green Card Interview Waived
hi all
I heard that some local INS offices(INS Federal Plaza NYC) are waiving the green card interview for some applicants, how true is that, please share your experience.
In my case i hava an approved self petition as a battered spous and i am wondering if there is an interview or not.
Regards

"Interview" can mean different things. They may want you to come in and grill
you. For me, it was just show up, get the papers in order and get the passport
stamped at the counter. The lady was even in a good mood (I guess it was early
in the morning and it was at the Norfolk, VA office-not crowded like NYC).
